“Good night, Jesse.”

“Good night, Gabe.”

Jesse almost did not want to hang up the phone. He wanted to stay on the line with Gabe a little bit longer. After they disconnected, Jesse found himself still smiling and felt something that he did not normally allow himself to feel: excited. As he turned off the lights and crawled back into his bed, Jesse closed his eyes and allowed himself to imagine what would happen when he and Gabe met in person for the first time. He stretched out in his large, cold bed, and wondered what it would be like to have someone laying right beside him, holding him, kissing him goodnight. Jesse let the fantasy linger temporarily, before finally falling asleep.
